El Pekín Express Canino: a three-year trip through Asia made into a trilogy (PROLOGUE)
In March 2019, my dog Cocaí and I left Madrid with a backpack, a tent and an ambitious mission: hitchhiking to China. A trip that I had...
India is intense when you get away from the touristy places. It gives you a blast of reality when you least expect it. India is not only beaches, fairy tale temples in the mountains, yoga and meditation, but also (or rather) chaos, stress, poverty and indignation. But if there is one word that defines it, despite everything, that is MAGIC.
In the same field of vision, a cow eating garbage, a monkey teasing a dog, a baba smoking a giant joint, and a family dressed in their best clothes throwing offerings into the sacred river are likely to appear at the same time. And everything you can imagine actually, because EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE IN INDIA friends. Like a dog showing up in the middle of the night in the desert where you're camping and you end up adopting her. India, loved and sometimes hated. Almost a year and a half full of your unique culture... And much more. Without a doubt, a very important chapter in our lives.
El Pekín Express Canino. In March 2019, my dog Cocaí and I left Madrid with a backpack, a tent and an ambitious mission: hitchhiking to China. When we were in India, an unwanted guest came on the scene and turned the world upside down, including our trip. Three years later we returned home, taking with us a path full of learning, adventures, wonderful beings... and a new dog: Chai :-) More info about this book, actually a trilogy, here (only Spanish).
Queen Leona. An illustrated tale based on a true story of a dog that I met during the pandemic in India and with whom I formed a very special bond. You can get it here (Spanish) and here (English).
South America & North America Travel Diaries. These two books speak, in the form of diaries, of my first years as a backpacker, including the encounter with Cocaí in Bolivia and all the adventures I lived with her. I place special emphasis on the connection with nature and the people that the journey gave us. Read more here (only Spanish).
